Matthias works for MyCompanion, offering himself for hire as whatever role a client desires: the perfect son, the enlightened boyfriend, even a ‘pilot dad’ for school appearances. Poised and convincing, he thrives professionally by embodying curated personas, yet as the boundaries between performance and authenticity blur, his private life begins to unravel and his own identity grows increasingly uncertain.
